Daming Zhang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the College of Electronic Science and Engineering, Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 1993, 1996, and 2000, respectively. He has been a Faculty Member with Jilin University since 1996, where he is currently the Group Leader of Planar Lightwave Circuits (PLC) with the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics, Jilin University. He has led more than twenty projects in optical switching, high-speed lasers, polymer PLC and wavelength division multiplexing systems. He has published more than 300 papers since 1999. His current research interests include Silicon/Silica/Polymer photonics and PLC devices.
